The Beneteau First 42s7 is a sleek and spacious cruiser-racer designed by Bruce Farr, one of the most renowned yacht designers in the world. It combines performance, comfort, and style and can take you anywhere, from a summer cruise through the Gulf and San Juan Islands to a thrilling ocean race. This versatile package has all the amenities for comfortable coastal cruising and will satisfy the competitive racers in the family.

With full sets of racing and cruising sails, and updated standing and running rigging, the current owners took advantage of the performance capabilities of this design. With two staterooms, two heads, a full galley, a water-maker, and lots of battery capacity, the 42s7 has what you need for comfortable cruising.   

The First 42s7 features a strong, solid fiberglass hull, a deep fin keel, and a fractional rig with a large sail plan.  The cockpit has lots of seating, a large wheel for precision steering, a folding table, and plenty of storage. The deck is functional and uncluttered, with all lines led aft to the cockpit for easy handling and broad side decks making it easy to move around.

All in all, this is a very well-maintained, clean, and capable racer-cruiser that is ready for its next owners.

With assumable moorage available in Fairwinds Marina, pending management approval, the next owners are set up for an easy transition.

Accommodations

The interior of the First 42s7 was designed by Philippe Starck, the famous French designer known for his innovative and elegant creations. This ‘owner's version’ offers two cabins and two heads, with ample space and ventilation. The salon is bright and cozy, with a U-shaped settee, a folding table, and a navigation station.

The spacious forward cabin has a large double berth, bench seating, a large hanging locker, and an ensuite head. The aft cabin has a massive berth with in-cabin storage lockers. There is a second head between the aft cabin and the navigation station on the port side.

There are many opening ports for great ventilation and natural light and a Webasto forced air diesel heater to keep the boat cozy and dry on crisp evening sails and cold mornings in the off-season.

Galley

Aft of the oval settee has the L-shaped galley. This has the Force-10 3-burner gimbaled stove with oven for the cruising chef. The counter has deep, dual stainless steel sinks with pressure hot and cold water. The aft corner has an in-counter fridge freezer. with a large front-loading fridge door. The galley has ample locker and drawers along the hull above and below the counter.

Sails and Rigging

The owners had new rod rigging installed in 2014 and have replaced all the running rigging since then. New sails were made in 2015 and they keep a full set of racing and cruising sails depending on their desires. The boat is a capable racer and with the combination of good sails, rigging, and a well-designed hull with a deep fin keel, you have a performance cruiser that is a competitive racer.  The Doyle Stack Pack keeps your mainsail in great shape and makes lowering and storage a breeze.
