“Sundowner” is the very rare (only 19 built) trunk-cabin version of the flush deck Ericson 39A racing design. Fast, comfortable and safe the Ericson 39B is an excellent budget performance cruiser. She has a unique interior layout from other 39B’s with a U-shaped settee on port and long settee with a pilot berth outboard on starboard. The second aft head was removed to provide more storage & a hanging locker outboard.
Re-powered in 2007 with a new Phasor (marinized Kubota) diesel engine with only 1,390 hours on her the biggest expense in updating an older boat has already been done. With new canvas on the hard dodger, newer sails, new inverter, Webasto diesel heating “Sundowner” is ready for year-round PNW cruising.
