Congratulations to Connie & Grady Sparks on the purchase of their brand new 2011 American Tug 435 “Lori Lee”. Connie and Grady are already experienced American Tug owners having cruised the past two years on their American Tug 34 “Lori Lee”. When the Sparks heard about the Marine Servicenter “Sail Alaska 2011” trip they decided they needed a bigger boat to join in the fun going north to the “last great frontier”! A new, bigger “Lori Lee” was commissioned in the spring of 2011 and delivered from the Tomco factory just 6 days prior to leaving for the trip north! A great trip was had by all and the Sparks spent the summer of 2011 cruising through British Columbia and South East Alaska before returning “Lori Lee” to Anacortes.
Now the Sparks are preparing their boat for another summer in Alaska, joining the Second Annual Sail Alaska trip sponsored by Marine Servicenter!
The Sparks designed & built their second American Tug with the help of Jeff Carson at Marine Servicenter on Lake Union.
