“I’m heading down to Phoenix next week to spend the winter sailing in warmer/drier weather,” says Barry, who bought a #Jeanneau410 with us over the summer. Our broker, Jeff Smith, and our service manager, David Kelly, worked tirelessly to get Barry the boat of his dreams.
Logging over 140 hours of sailing and 90 hours of engine time since July, Barry has spent most of his days aboard ‘Viceroy.’
“More than half of that time has been single-handing. My goal has been to sail every day, and I achieved maybe 1/3 of that… not bad considering weather, getting under the 11th street bridge, unexpected racing at Shilshole, and just life.“
Barry is enjoying the ease of rigging and flying his #codezerosails compared to an #asymmetricalspinnaker. He notes his max sustained wind in #CommencementBay of more than 30 knots for an hour!
“The boat wasn’t over-powered, but I was a bit outside of my comfort zone, and the bay felt very small for maneuvering at speed.”
Barry loves to unwind by baking hundreds of cookies in his new galley, and he is slowly getting used to being followed by his powerboating neighbors.
“Some of the great exterior shots of Viceroy are from them, as well as some epic drone footage.”
Barry shares that #liveaboard is working great, having spent only 10 nights off the boat since delivery in Late July.
“I have done two short cruises and stayed overnight at other marinas.” My goal for next summer is to cruise most of the time. Thanks for making my dream come true!”
